EPP: Professional Activity 1
On Thursday, 14th February 2019, my Peer Review Group (PRG) and I had our first “Professional Assessment Activity.”
We were giving each member of our group feedback on our website using the Feedback Sandwich method that was covered on Tutorial 1 of EPP1. And we must use the Professional Assessment Activity Form to note down our feedback and comment form others.
Following the Feedback Sandwich method, I first give out positive feedback than negative or part the might need to fix and ended with a positive note.
EPP: Engineering Event – Summer Studio EXPO
This summer, I’m also taking UTS’ Summer Studio program, and there was an event at the end of the studio call Summer Studio EXPO.
The event is a place where all student, staff and also company can come to see projects of students who are taking on this Studio, I was given a chance to present my work which is breaking into a machine, provided by the Leader of my Studio, about how I did it, how I approached and resolve the problem along the way.
EPP: Journal Entry 1
When I was in high school, my friend and I were working as a volunteer for a summer campaign. We were asked to create the playground for children every Tuesday and Thursday of summer so that parent can leave their kid with us and go to work, and the kid can have a place to make friend and play.
It’s my first time I had to create and guide a playground, so I was very nervous because if I fail the first time, people may not come for the next day, and that now what we wanted because we were supposed to made and guided the playground through 2 months of summer.
Week 4
This is the final week and my final goal is to able to hack my way through a machine on hackthebox.eu and also present my work at Studio Expo
For the machine on hackthebox.eu, It took me whole week searching online for some walk-through of retired machine, because hackthebox doesn't allow user to post walk-through about active machine, to get the basic idea about what tools i should use when hack into a machine Although all the walk-through that I found is very clear, but all machine is different, i was managed to find available vulnerability of an active machine Curling on Hackthebox, but I still stuck at getting through admin panel of the machine.
Week3
About this week This week we are asked to break into a vulnerable machine, and it was very hard for me because I have no idea on how to break into the machine. But after being shown a demo, I felt more confident and was able to find more material on the internet to start trying to break into a machine that I found on the internet. Later in the week, we have a chance to meet with people from Deloitte Cyber Attack Team to talk about pen-testing, and they gave us a chance to break into their vulnerable machine, I wasn't able to break into it but after they show me how to do it, I was able to understand more about pentesting, and it helps me a lot when I try to break through the machine that I found earlier this week
